I laughed, I cried, felt queasy and angry and then when the Dodo fell in the swimming pool ....! This is a rollercoaster of a read and it felt about the same when I got off.

The Restoration of the Dodo is the story of a guy called William Draper who lives in seventeenth-century England, and he gets obsessed with dodos and decides he’s going to fill the world with them. And as I read the first chapter, I thought, shit, Brian and I have both had the same damned idea. It’s not about plagiarism, not about lack of originality; maybe it’s more about picking up something that’s floating in the air. The Zeitgeist or some shit like that.
