When Junko came home for Christmas in her freshman year, she was surprised to find her belongings in boxes in the loft. She slept on the couch in the family room, and didn't come home for the holidays again. Diane and Peter Bayliss didn't mind. On the rare occasions that Junko did see her folks after that, they always looked vaguely surprised, as if they couldn't quite remember her name.
