The Dream Maker

Mikka Haugaard

I found this book with its separate but interwoven stories (and the mixture of truth, lies and fantasy) a little confusing at first - but stick with it - you will desperately want to know what happens to Max - and to Rachel and Tina. Even at the end it was difficult to know what 'truly"'happened.

Extract
That winter Max haunted me. I have always found it difficult to sleep and in the early morning my vision of him was particularly clear. He, too, was awake. In the afternoon, after work, I use to stalk his shadow and look for his ghost in streets I didn't know. Once I stood by a door for so long that someone asked me why I was there. 'I'm waiting for Max,' I replied.
