by Gill Paul

This book is well written with plenty of twists and turns, a cross between a love story and a thriller. It was very difficult to put it down once I'd started it and I continually wanted to be on the next page to see what was going to happen next.

The water was chalky green and much cooler than my pool in Jakarta. Occasional clumps of bracken-coloured seaweed floated past and shoals of tiny fish glittered. I swam far out from the shore, towards the black craters, then turned on my back to look a the sky. Wisps of cloud drifted by. It was the twenty-third of December, three o'clock in the afternoon, and I was floating in the sea between Java and Sumatra, two hundred miles south of the equator.
