Talented Lucie and Suzanne recreate themselves as Claude and Marcel in pre-WWII Bohemian Paris. Moving to Jersey in 1938, they form their own Resistance to the Nazi occupation. This fictional autobiography by Suzanne/Marcel is a great evocation of the first half of the 20th century, but above all is a moving account of one woman's love for another.
