The Mulberry Empire by Philip Hensher

The Mulberry Empire

Philip Hensher

An absorbing read, and a very appropriate one in view of what's happening in the world today. This story explores Britain's colonial past from lots of different angles - an engrossing, if at times difficult, read.

Extract
