These stories could only have been written by a Pole, but do reflect the experiences of all who have lived under repressive regimes or as minorities. In short, Cold Sea Stories is a wonderful mix that should suit every taste. My favourite is 'The Flight from Egypt', which should be required reading for all political and religious leaders.
