Bruiser by Richard House

Bruiser

Richard House

An inter-generational gay love story between a 17-year-old American boxer and a fortyish Englishman. Curiously uplifting.

Extract
Adarian sleeps with his back to me, strangely indifferent, his head resting on my arm. My lower back starts to ache, and I try not to shift around, try not to disturb him. The room is cold, and I draw the blankets over us. He flinches as my hand brushes his shoulder.
