No Christian Grave

Edmund Power

Can you ever escape your past? Two young men find their lives being slowly destroyed as a result of taking the easier of two options following a serious incident. This is a moral tale which does make you wonder what you would have done in the same circumstances.

Extract

Not only did he hold the upper hand, I'd even been so helpful as to suggest where he might engage me to his greatest advantage.
