The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall

The Raw Shark Texts

Steven Hall

A frantic mind-trip featuring dictaphones, sharks and a cat called Ian. I found this a very funny yet touching story of Eric Sanderson's search to regain his sanity. A great book for those who don't mind a bit of blurring between reality and fantasy. The power of the imagination is a truly wondrous and darkly dangerous thing.

Eric Sanderson. When I heard myself speak it, the name sounded solid and real and good and normal. It wasn't. It was a ruin of loose masonry, broken windows and flapping blue tarpaulin sheets. It was a derelict. A relic of something nine-tenths collapsed.
