The Heel of Bernadette by Colette Bryce

The Heel of Bernadette

Colette Bryce

I liked the poet's soothing voice - and even if you don't understand a reference (to a myth or a geographical location) it doesn't matter because the writing is so lyrical. Lots of poems I enjoyed reading more than once.

and missed the turn on the Creeslough Road.
Inside our camera of car
we filmed the minutes blur and fly.
