The Diagnosis by Alan Lightman

The Diagnosis

Alan Lightman

I could cope with the breakdown the main character was going through but the other fable with the Greek classic left me confused. This is a challenging read.

The pressure of his existence, the chase and the emptiness were slowly crushing in .... He had no center. One of these days he would collapse completely, lose his job to a less used man, end up sitting on the couch in his house unshaven and watching daytime TV.
