You might think this novel is about a dysfunctional family but what does that actually mean? An unhappy open marriage, children who are out of control but brilliant in their different ways? What is delivers are characters who are all very engaging, albeit unusual, and I loved every one of them. It's such a funny book and yet so moving that I really cared about what would happen next. Miss it at your peril.
