I had been impressed last night when Mademoiselle Lenormand slid aside bookshelves to reveal her sibyl's lair. The Frenchwoman had motioned for me to enter behind the Chevalier de Fayard and take a seat in the corner while she read his Tarot cards.

I had never seen such a place, but what was even more shocking as that her deck is the same style as the card the Morrígan gave me. I believe the cow goddess had led me to Mademoiselle Leonormand's door.

I had been bewitched by Lenormand's Tarot reading, watching as she shuffled and cut cards, fanning them into different spreads and interpreting them with accuracy. The Chevalier de Fayard was brought to tears by the truth of her revelations, but I did not feel sorry for him, for as I sat there, I saw more visions of his past, without even needing to hold his hands. He had been a cruel husband and deserved to be cuckolded. I only hoped his wife would escape his wrath.
