Made in Yugoslavia

Vladimir Jokanovic

An uncomfortable, human insight into the war in the Balkans. Worth reading but don't expect an heroic outcome for the main protagonist!

The fracas looked more like a summer harvest than a real fight, and since all five cops seemed to be in the mood to do Bili some real damage, Luka grabbed him round the waist to hold him back. 'Cool it, ape-brain! It's me Luka!' he said. This calmed Bili down a bit, and the pressure on his stomach made him throw up all over the little cop, who was still rolling about on the pavement. After this the cops clapped handcuffs on all three of them, and really laid into them.
