Dreaming of Strangers by Matt Thorne

Dreaming of Strangers

Matt Thorne

A thoroughly engaging bitter-sweet comedy of manners. If you're into film and pop culture you'll relate to this warm and funny novel.

Extract

Chris was more interested in the idea of horror films than the reality. He'd always been fascinated by the concept of sequels, and loved the fact that there were at least ten Friday the 13th films without feeling the need to watch them. He did buy the tapes occasionally, satisfying the collector urge in him. He also genuinely liked the Scream trilogy and a few others of the latest revival of horror movies. But his favourite horror film hardly counted as a horror film at all.
